At DMP I would play 20/15(2) 13/8 7/2, because I think White should be trying to get into a hitting war on his side of the board to improve his timing and perhaps make another point in my board. If he's going to hit, I'd prefer it be on my 2pt, so it doesn't help his timing.

With gammons counting, I'm not sure what White should be trying to do, so I'm not sure what I should be trying to do. I'd just go flexible, with 20/5 13/8 while reminding myself to consider the cube every turn.
