Rewarded for not cubing

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before.

When making a cube decision, you analyze the position, and decide if it's correct to DOUBLE or NOT.

- If you Double, but it was incorrect to do so, you get dinged for it and your PR goes up.

- If you Roll, but it was correct to Double, you get dinged for it and your PR goes up.

- If you Double, and it was correct to Double, the decision gets added to your PR, and it goes down.

- If you Roll, and you made the correct decision, your PR remains the same for that decision.

I'm just curious why this is.
