I find that playing the bot in a high setting is good. Over time the bot's style rate to rub off on your game. Off course it is important to review all errors and also those positions where you weren't sure but you happened to make a lucky guess.

I record all my live matches and I get a lot of learning out of replaying the matches while inputting the match in XG. I don't speed up the video to minimize the inputting time because I also look for patterns in how fast I make certain plays where I ought to have spent more time. In general I play very fast with very little reflection, but sometimes I play too fast and then there will be more errors.

In general I find it is critical to practice like you play, and play like you practice. This approach works for me but I also have many years of experience and a decent understanding of most position types.
