It seems awfully one-sided. The winner of the opening roll has to spend the rest of the game trying to figure out what his opponent might do with the dice after each of his candidate plays, while the other player only to figure out her own play. And she gets to play doubles every time the dice differ by one.

OTOH, the first player knows a lot about the possible rolls since there are only two possibilities. Maybe this evens out, but my take is that you need to find a way to make it more symmetric to gain my interest.
