Again you've posted a position where we will be putting another spare to death valley. This is why I posted my variant. It is much much more common for that situation to arise and also much much more likely to be correct to break the board because we have more checkers left to finish off our dirty work.

I don't think your example is very good either in the sense of wanting to toss doubt into a 3 ply rollout. The difference in plays (according to a rollout) is virtually nothing. After 1k trials I have a difference of .004.
