It's a great idea in principle, and I have actually done this exact kind of bet with a couple of people I used to play on line or on Snowie and XG regularly. I would offer them the same odds that Vegas does...30 to 1 on rolling 66 or any double and 15-1 on a non-double they want to call.

The problem with doing it on line is logistics. The game must stop, the player must register his prediction, acknowledgment of the bet must be made by the server, and the player, of course, has to have enough money deposited to cover his loss.

If I owned a server I would be delighted to offer anything less than true odds.

But there is a bigger problem. If you do succeed in convincing people that the dice are not rigged, and this would certainly help convince many, you would drive away a lot of terrible fish and the pond would dry up even more.

For the most part, people who keep bitching that the dice are rigged are getting great pleasure out of that claim, because otherwise they might have to admit that they lose because they play poorly. As much as I hate to hear the crying, I have learned to feel good about it knowing that I am dealing with an idiot who is not going to take responsibility for his poor play and not likely to improve.

On a very similar note, I have played someone heads up for many years that claims he dances more on a one point board than anyone. For a good 10 years I had a running bet with him that I would pay him $100 every time he dances and he pays me $100 every time I dance. Only after about 10 years did he finally shut up and I could enjoy playing him without hearing this silly claim. (For a while we also paid $50 for a dance on a 2 point board.)

So I have been doing close to what you propose for over 20 years.
