Are ABT Tournaments a big deal?

This is one of countless things that grind my gears in the bg world. I'm always disappointed in any major tournament that doesn't keep decent updates. If you decide to hold a tournament I feel like it should be your duty to assign someone, anyone, to do it. Don't try to sell me on how much work it is, I know, and it can easily be (and should absolutely be) incorporated. I see local bg tournaments sometimes get more coverage. Hell, I get more coverage from local Ping Pong tournaments that I don't even attend via email than some ABT events.
