Slowest race ever?

The other day I was playing XG, and during a non-contact race, I noticed that over the course of 12 consecutive rolls (6 per player), we rolled a grand total of 57 pips. That's an average of 4.75 pips per roll. The largest roll was 7 pips. (The race didn't end there and continued more "normally" afterwards.)

I haven't actually kept track of this kind of thing so there's probably an even slower race in my files somewhere, but I thought this was pretty amusing.
