The first time I live recorded a match (into the XG on my laptop) was in San Antonio a few years ago. I wanted to learn how to live record, so Bill Phipps and McG allowed me to do so for one of their matches.

Of course I started messing up right away, and Matt was able to fix all my errors (there were many) and do practically the whole match from memory after they played.

again....blown away.
