Thanks for the the hint. From it, I deduce that your six-move sequence that leaves White on roll must also leave him on the bar. After a convenient fan, it becomes a seven-roll sequence that solves the puzzle.

I finally discovered a seven-roll sequence that gets by XGR++. One play, however, manages to do that by a margin of only 0.2 millipoints! I'll start a long rollout later on today.
