The question was not about whether XG's play is correct. It was about the magnitude of the error being reported. There is no way that either 8/4, 8/3 or 8/3, 7/3 is a blunder.

I also would have played 8/4, 8/3 fairly automatically, though it has nothing to do with saving sixes or fives.
