The site sent him a message of surrender, and ftr that's the word they used, surrender; then they further buttered him up before advising him he would thereafter be limited to (I think) $10/pt.

I believe their bot was XG though don't know for certain, so perhaps Xavier could give you a clue on that if confidentiality permits; but for sure it was their best rated bot that would be allowed to play for such high stakes.

So laugh away if it gives you comfort, but I and several others used to watch him play for sessions of 5 to twenty 1pt matches over the course of months, before the surrender.

And if you truly feel as you posted, I suggest you ask him yourself: I'm sure he has a copy of that trophy on his wall.
