How to make money off people who claim the dice are rigged

Senile math prof says:
"What I said was correct. "I can pay $100 insurance" is not the same as "I can bet $100." In case you're not familiar with how money works, when you "pay," you give your money to someone else. Under what I said, if I buy insurance 36 times, I will pay a total of $3600, and will expect to get back $3500 once, for a net loss of $100 every 36 rolls on average".
As I am not a gambler, I wouldn't have minded that I don't know "how money works" and thus "being fooled" by you. But it looks like you succeeded in fooling everybody else in here also... ;)
Phil Simborg said: ------------------ I have actually done ***this exact kind of bet*** with a couple of people I would ***offer them the same odds*** that Vegas does...30 to 1 on rolling 66 or any double and 15-1 on a non-double
***acknowledgment of the bet*** must be made by the server
For a good 10 years I had a running ***bet*** with him
Bob Koca said: -------------- They would indeed ***offer those odds*** to those people. It of course wouldn't be based on a backgammon bot but would be physical dice being rolled that they would provide.
… What was the base stake of the game in which you had ***those $100 dancing bets***?
Tom Keith said: --------------- ***Hedging (which is a form of insurance)*** is popular in backgammon tournaments. It gives you two ways to win -- either the ***hedge bet*** or the match itself.
Stick said: ----------- Nobody who thought the dice were rigged would ever take an ***insurance bet***.
Joe Russell said: ----------------- the type that would think the dice are rigged, would certainly think the dice were rigged against their ***insurance bet***
they would be too suspicious of the ***insurance bet*** being rigged.
Jake Jacobs said: ----------------- Joe, you may recall that during the Cavendish tournament where you and I first met Gaby made some bizarre ***insurance bets***.
mamabear said: -------------- If they are "wildly irrational", why have them get back as much as $3500 on a $100 ***insurance bet** against a 66 (or some other double)?
As you can see, indicated by what they said with relevant expressions highlighted with ***, they all understood it like I had: A BET!
Yet, you haven't corrected any one of them that they had misunderstood you (that you meant prepaid insurance).
You can't deny this because you have followed up to many of their comments (unless, of course, you want to resort to being too senile to even follow the comments/arguments ;).
I ignore what doesn't interest me but I really do pay attention to what is being said once I take interest in a discussion.
So, there, you and the rest of the sheep herd or wolf pack have the proof: you are a pathetic weasel...! More precisely, who has just enough brains left to try, that is... :))
