I generally agree with Dorn and am, personally, very much in favor of all matches being clocked.

My only exception to Dorn's comment is the statement that the staff wanted to go home and it was only 2:30 in the afternoon. What must be remembered is that it had taken 3+ hours to reach 11-6/17 so it might have been reasonably anticipated that it could take another 2-3 hours to complete. And it was not the last match -- Akiko still yet had to complete another long final in the Super Jackpot. Had the Championship match taken till 4:30 and then Akiko taken a wholly reasonable 30 minute or 1 hour break, the Super Jackpot final would not have begun until 5:00 or later and could have extended to well into the evening.

I suspect had the other match not been looming involving one the same players, the staff would not have considered it a problem. As it was, I think their decision was prudent.
