Double elimination tips?

Thanks for your input Keene. I think I was using the default Gnubg settings. I rolled it out again with what I hoped were more stringent settings (not an expert on this).
It took a few hours and 23/18*/17 came out slightly ahead this time.
Although I can see the benefits of the blitz type move (23/18* 11/10), I guess it's because 23/18*/17 safety's against the potential double 4 party pooper, getting hit by return on the opponent's bar point (which I guess gives slightly better equity than if one were hit by subsequent double 3s).. the lesson for me is watch out for / reduce opponent jokers when trying to bring it home. Congrats to my teammate for making a very astute move in a tight decision!
