Unusual position. Not often you're trailing 20 pips in the race while only having 1 guy back vs 3 back checkers for the opp.

If we can escape, then we're winning because of our strong outfield control which will enable us to catch up in the race later in the game. It's easier to escape with 1 checker than with 2, so we don't slot.

I like coming in deep on 23 and then playing to the 10. Coming in high feels a bit too much under the gun, and it's easier to run away from 23 than from the bar.
