The knee jerk play is obviously 13/7 but as this is a posted position obviously 13/8 2/1 is correct. Maybe un-stacking would have come to mind in the first place thus producing the best play. Whats wrong with 13/7 ? I fancy myself at bearing in and bearing off so covering the 6 point from a wastage point of view came to mind. EPC what the hell is that was my thought when it first appeared in XG. Today a refresher is called for and I was stimulated when I learnt that covering the 6,5 ,4 points in a 7,5,3 ratio was the optimum EPC when bearing in. I have been using this approach probably before EPC was a twinkle in some ones eye. I cannot determine why one play is better than the other in this position ,the answer is too deep for me, just that EPC has something to do with it. XG gave me the answer after I beat it up. The clue is the magic 4. A little bit of knowledge can bring an intrusion of ideas at the right moment in similar circumstances. The application of similar type rolls prove the point. Un-stacking in this position was by chance correct. Having a good bearing of system for the later stages is important for your winning chances. I wonder how many could ever say or be aware in an early position, I won that came game because I played XYZ. There's chances for lesser mortals even now.
