As the villain, I would much prefer to get a full roll to safety a checker, leap out, re-make the six point, or a combination of those.
So 5/2* for absolutely, positively sure (I think). Which makes the 4 easy: 6/2. It puts a checker on the bar with 16 dancing numbers, takes advantage of my stronger home board, leaves me another blot to aim at, all 15 checkers still in play, all sorts of nice things.
Same play for money. Universal Rule: When not leaving more blots than my opponent has points made in his shambles of a home board, don't worry too much about gammons (WARNING: The foregoing Universal Rule only applies most of the time and only for positive integers up to and sometimes including the number 2).
