You might consider temporarily switching the text encoding in your browser to Western when you're reading and posting to BGO. This way, the plus-or-minus signs in other people's posts should show up correctly, and the plus-or-minus signs in the articles you post will display correctly for anyone using a Western (rather than a traditional Chinese) encoding.
