I'd be curious to know some things about how they got involved in backgammon and how much a part of their lives it is. This sort of information could be useful for thinking about how you draw more people into the game.

1) At what age did you learn the rules of backgammon?

2) Who taught you / got you into the game? (parent, friend, school etc.)

3) At what age did you begin playing backgammon for money stakes, including fee-entry tournaments? Approximately what year was that?

4) On a typical week at home, how many hours do you spend at backgammon?

5) How does that time break down in the following 3 categories?

a) Playing in person with other people b) Playing online with other people c) Playing alone, against computer programs, studying, etc.

6) What was the first book or resource you consulted about how to improve your game?

Stuff like that!
