I totally agree. With the exception of chapter 7 (I don't see the value of this invention) I think it is an excellent book. Jacobs point that a real beginner may need more basic information is valid..... but I guess there are enough books around that tell the rules. Where are the books that are - accurat - cover a lot of ground
I appreciate Magriel, but there are errors in it and the cube is totally missing. Nevertheless it was my recommendation .... till now. I think MBO presents a lot of stuff in a didactic cover way and I believe there is at least something to learn for mere mortals (i.e. PR > 5). If one says something is not so good one has IMHO to present an alternative. The only alternative I see currently is "conquering BG". IMHO they are both good and the best we currently have (Maybe I should reread trice)
And at least we should be thankful for every decent BG book. I'm pretty sure given the amount of work the income from it isn't worth the time.
