I don't see what the issue is with watching on a large screen and speakers. It is actually an easier viewing experience for spectators than trying to see a small board. This is how spectators watch the final matches of Monte Carlo, Cyprus, Nordic, the world chess championship, etc. Michelle also made efforts to get specific audio and visual setups to create and enhance the kind of viewing experience you describe.

I don't think the final should have been scheduled alongside doubles and especially LC matches.

I mentioned ambient temperature specifically because it is a detail that is likely to be overlooked by someone who is just brainstorming how to run an event, but I have played several years in Denmark and experience has shown that when you have 300 people huddled within a 3-meter radius for a few hours, it does get quite hot.
