In Response To: Annotated matches (Rick Janowski)

Thank you for sending me those two matches that I have just added to my backgammon server!

Ed OLaughlin (EasyEd) - Paul Magriel 11pt Las Vegas Las Vegas Open Bonanza Event 1991

http://netwise-service.com/bgsnowie/matches/MatchQizDemoSw4.html

Jeremy Bagai - Kit Woolsey 9pt Online FIBS Exhibition Match 1994

http://www.bkgm.com/matches/woba.html

I forgot to mention in the last update that I have also made it possible for direct links into backgammon studio matches:

http://www.backgammonstudio.com/index.php?gotomenu=startmatch&argument=4104 http://www.backgammonstudio.com/index.php?gotomenu=startmatch&argument=4105

you don't get all the extras if you aren't logged in when viewing the match though. I have added a couple of these links to backgammon match videos on youtube that I also have in the database. Another trap to end up on my backgammon server! :-)

Is it ok to make them available in Backgammon Studio also? I hope so. If those who hold the copyright on these matches (I guess the annotators possibly jointly with the players involved in the matches has the copyright) thinks differently I can remove them.

In general I guess matches that are made publicly available on the internet is implicitly given a public domain copyright unless otherwise specified. Or is that a bit too optimistic view?
