You state that you never consider even the possibility that an opponent wearing headphones might be cheating. It is a safe bet however that, on a subliminal level, you do;

No, it is not a safe bet. It's not in my nature to be suspicious about possible cheating.

I trust you would not be so naive as to truly believe that players never cheat in our game, nor to believe that it's not possible with headphones.

Now THIS statement I can agree with. I have heard of cases of cheating, and I absolutely believe it's possible to cheat with headphones.

I'm sorry that you believe that the use of headphones amounts to transparent behaviour.

To be clear: you said that it was clear that the use of headphones is not transparent, and presumed I feel the same way. I mostly want you to stop assuming what I think, which you've done a few times. I have my own opinions and feelings about things -- they may not fit your view of backgammon.

I'm not going to call this a black and white issue, so if I disagree with your assessment that they are not transparent, that does not necessarily imply that I feel they are transparent.

Drop a deuce: I have never heard it called that before!

I am also partial to "pinch a loaf."
