I'll commit here. 5/3*. You are going gangbusters for a gammon, and running the risk of losing the game if you dont hit (all the escaping 4s plus many pick n passes). I dont think its really about outsmarting yourself, I think that the 2nd checker has to remain within the sights, and that all other plays are going to cost you too much. I'd rather get into a hitting war against 2 lone checkers than rely on opp not running away from me.

If you are white, what play do you fear the most? I fear being hit.
