Good to hear you're hooked.

I have owned both of these types of boards, the cialux in brown, though I also am definitely partial to the green (but not the blue). (It got lent to someone, btw, who lent it to another who lent it once again one evening, and it then disappeared. I'm being compensated gradually during free restaurant visits.) The first lendee took it many times to a weekly club tourney, but it did not get much use apparently, due to the lack of the chequer tray being unpopular. It never bothered me. I loved it because it fitted in a medium sized rucksack. However, I would definitely consider investing in a larger board than this for bigger events. The chequers themselves are ok sized (just about), but the 1.75 inch (appx) chequers on the Wycliffe will be much more appreciated by most players; quite a few prefer even the boards with 2 inch ones.

The finger dip chequers on the Wycliffe are wonderful, and they move very well on the cloth board. I have one with red and green points and a cream background, and I think it's a very attractive board (though colour blind players might not be so keen). Most of my boards are Dal Negro btw, with 1.75 inch chequers.
