"the Balkan voters seem to have been impressed by the same four or five" This is they key point: Did the croatian players individually scored good results in international big tournaments ? About PR Rick Janowski put some info. There is no doubt croatian players are strong, they won the EUROPEAN Backgammon Championship. Is that enough to make the whole team Giants32 ?

I don't think so, Italy also performed very well, we finished first after 7 rounds of round robin and we choosed to play Croatia in the semifinal and not Germany (better team based on PR info and tournaments results). Maybe it was a wrong decision looking now at the Giants list. What an opportunity we missed not winning, we could have been in the right to put all our names at the top of the list and ask all the other italian voters and who plays in our CNB tournaments to do the same !

Something has to be changed, maybe something like the Golden Boot in soccer.
