How to enter 2 player mode in XG mobile?

I was playing against a friend a few days ago using XG mobile on my iPad. It was not that intuitive but after a few minutes of clicking on the Settings page I was able to make both the top player and bottom player "human". There is also a setting so the pip counts and message read properly to the player on roll.
