Is there a future for the Giants List?

I just hope that at some time in the future there will be some objective system, whether based on PR, Elo, points, some combination thereof, or whatever, that will be accepted as a measurement to, for example, keep players with the following records in ADVANCED events, from continuing to play in ADVANCED at ABT events:

• 58 wins, 19 losses
• 57 wins, 19 losses
• 33 wins, 9 losses

I suspect there is a long way to go until anything like this is settled on a national, let alone international level, but I lent my assistance to implementing Ken Larsen's rating formula in attempt to provide a small nudge in this direction.
