Is there a future for the Giants List?

I think that there is a future for the Giants List, but some changes definitely must be made otherwise nobody will respect the list anymore.
I like the current USBGF ranking system and I think it would be great if such system is introduced worldwide.
Regarding PRs, as you know in every sport the gold medal is for the winner of the competition, not for the athlete with the best technique.
I respect the players that applied for BMAB certificates and achieved great PRs, but a Giant in Backgammon, in my opinion, should be a player who wins tournaments. In order to win a tournament you must not just play with a low error rate, you have to be able to quickly determine your opponent's weaknesses and to take advantage of them. The preparation before a tournament should not be just technical, it should be also tactical and psychological. Backgammon is a fight of energies and strategies. You will not win a lot, if you always use the same strategy in every match. I do not want to ask myself on every move " What would XG do here", I just want to win.
