With a spare on their 8pt, the Dilly Builders are poised to make a point in their prime field. Otherwise, they can escape or consolidate. If we try to play safely, with something like a reverse split (24/23, 13/10), the Dillies will be free to improve, while we will have done little.

For this reason, I think we have to grab our 5pt. If the Dillies hit using a non-doublet, they will not be able to simultaneously make a point on their side of the board. In addition, we may have a lot of return shots when they hit.
