Outstanding video, Matt! Of the many excellent points mentioned, I will comment on only two.

First is the weighting currently used. Based on your explanation, the current weighting seems entirely unsupportable. I recommend consulting an expert statistician to learn the best way to conduct a poll like this where the goal is to rank the results. Perhaps Colin's recommendation to ignore rank, and weight all votes on each ballot equally, will fare well in such an analysis.

The second is to divide the list into two. One list should be only for the "best" current players over the two-year period in question. The other can be for any other purpose, e.g., historical contributions, best writer, best tournament director, and so on.
