I was surprised the error is so gigantic.
After the best play, only 44 and 33 are quite bad, reducing our board.
After the 2nd best play, 43 also does that, plus 63 and 64 blot. The gain from keeping a guy to pick'n'pass is an illusion, just like Casper has pointed out. Only 11 and 31 are a p'n'p number, with all others the correct play (by far) is to escape the back checker or hit with an ace and avance the back checker with the other half of the roll.
