I have a 6-cell. I tried draining it yesterday while running a really long rollout (2-away, Crawford responding with 54 to an opening 54; top five plays). It was showing seven hours at the start, but after 72 minutes (closer to an hour and a half from when I unplugged it) and around 4250 trials for each of the five plays it was down to 20%. So when working hard two hours would be pushing it.
It is high-end. In USD it costs about seven thousand. Once I get all the software installed it will be around twelve. But it is the PC equivalent of a drag racing sleeper. A friend of a friend, back in the late sixties, supposedly had a Ford Fairlane, looked like something his mama let him borrow to go buy the groceries. He'd challenge Chargers "for fifty" and walk them. When they caught him at the next light and asked what he had under the hood he'd tell them "a two-eighty-nine," and get double or nothing. Then he'd pop the hood and show them a Shelby 289. My Alien looks like the Batmobile. The ThinkPad is flat, straight edges, dull finish. It is a boring looking machine. And it is thinner and lighter than the Alien, which is about the same size and weight as the Batmobile.
