My favorite Paul Weaver Story

Let me start out by saying that there are few people in the world of backgammon I respect as much as Paul. As a player, an ambassador; author; lecturer; quiz master; upholder of high standards and willing to speak out and speak up against evil doers. He is an inspiration in many ways, and one of the all-time great international representatives of the game.
But a couple of years ago at a tournament a few of us were sitting around in the hallway, and Paul walked out of the men's room, walked up to us, and made what I consider the worst introduction to a story I have ever heard:
He said,
"You wouldn't believe what I just did in the men's room!"
Actually, once we calmed down, he did tell us a great story. He had set his board down on the sink and went to do his business, not knowing that he had put his board under an automatic faucet.
He noticed that the floor was flooding and made a hasty exit, grabbing his water-soaked board.
As he was telling the story, I looked down and saw that his shoes and pants were all wet! (And his fly was open.)
Still, as great as Paul is in so many ways, I told him he could use a little coaching about how to begin a tale.
