Leonardo is from Croatia and the players in the video are from Bosnia-Herzegovina, a neigbhour. In the countries that were under Otoman Empire's influence tavla (backgammon without the doubling cube) is a very popular game, almost every teenager knows how to play and there are tournaments with 5 Eur fee with 200 partecipants. Backgammon is less popular at the moment but increasing, there are clubs where you can learn and when an important tournament is organized there is one for tavla and one fo5 backgammon (with higher fees) Paul Weaver can't know this so his question looked quite rude. The question in general could be: it is enough for a player to partecipate only to a local (CBT tournament in the case of bosnians) international tournament to have the right to vote ? This should be valid for any country, including americans. In the past the Giant List contained too many americans, so europeans can have a doubt as well about how much americans who don't cross the ocean know about the european players
