I had some trouble figuring out which post you were talking about. I think you mean this one. I agree with Casper that this strikes me as an example of Paul's somewhat bizarre sense of humor. I think Paul can rightfully be accused of poor judgment, making a joke about a sensitive subject in a way that can easily come out the wrong way, but I didn't see his post as malicious. In particular, I believe that the positive comments that Paul made in the post were sincere and not sarcastic.
