too much emphasis on rankings and ratings

It is easy to see eho is winning tournaments. It is easy to see who has the lowest PR's in BMAB. Most everyone knows from the Giant List and commentary who the really great players are. This whoke obsession with rankings snd ratings is fsr too much emphasis on seeing who is best snd fsr too little attention paid to much more important matters that Federations and all who love the game snd tournament competition should be focussing on.

Like how to bring more players into the game

Like how to get more of the current bsckgsmmon community to attend tournaments snd support federations

Like how to attract sponsors

Like how to convince the world, and the law makers, that backgammon is a game of skill

Like how to raise the standards of good sportsmanship and the image of the game.

Way too much energy spent on ratings and rankings
