After reading the different analyses regarding this roll, I am less convinced that my original approach of double hitting (6/2*) is the only appropriate play.

Currently, I'm torn between 20/16 and 13/9. 20/16 gives up the anchor, but retains the midpoint, whereas 13/9 gives up the midpoint, but keeps the anchor. Maybe it is a zero-sum situation or a matter of taste?

I slightly tend to 13/9 since I like the idea of both retaining the anchor and having an extra checker on the 9-point.
