UBK: Even if it known to be unintentional do you think there should be some penalty for making an illegal move?

Yes. If you scour this board well enough, you will find numerous instances where I've said that I think there should be a time penalty for EVERY rules transgression, including making illegal moves, regardless of intent.

If you start getting dinged 30 seconds on your clock every time you:

  • Make an illegal move
  • Touch the dice after you hit the clock
  • Prematurely pick up the dice
  • Fart
  • etc.
then you'll stop doing these kinds of things really fast.
