He can certainly try, as long as he realizes that all decisions by the club director are final and not subject to appeal. :-)

But you are right, that was a quarterfinals match. My bad. I got thrown off because Ed was among the final four undefeated players before the four fighters got thrown into the mix. Perhaps the the local director can be persuaded to show some degree of mercy toward him. I'll have a talk with him.
