I would play 22/20 14/13.

We may get a shot next turn and we would want to hit the shot if we can do so safely. True, we are not ready to contain, but 2 or 3 turns from now we will still not be ready to contain any hit checkers. The hit will be useful in gaining time to build an offense while White is clearing stuff and leaving shots after. Also, the hit will help against gammon losses. However, we do not want to leave a direct return when we hit. So don't slot the 5. Also, slotting the 5 now without a direct cover is not so effective in building the board.
