Phil, you are right and we really have discussed a lot in Monte Carlo about BG problems in connection with competitions etc. According to your wishes to my sensor board "BEZMA" I need to report follow:
a) yes, it could be possible to use your own board and your own checkers as well; b) yes, it will be possible to buy the equipment for less than 1000$ - I need simple enough number of customers. It is obviousely. c) I wonder that you ask this question - all these features are implemented many years and a lot of others too! d) It was realised for the first smartphone HTC in 2008. Unfortunately only for Windows mobile. Modern version will be work at Android and Iphone (later). e) I wonder that you ask this question - this feature was realised still in the first version of BEZMA. f) I have answered on this quetsion above and garanty will be as usually: 30 years.
Unfortunately, I have not enough money to finish development of my product as quick and sexy as many of customs wanted, but I still in the progress with the new design and development. Old design you can receive for free in Chicago from Serge Bondar. I can give you two sensor boards "BEZMA" to record your matches and even to promote demo match with duplicated rolls and using the new balanced scoring system like in bridge. Ray, Neil, Falafel, Mochy, Michy and a lot of other players have played on the board and have experience to use it.
Phil, I have nothing against your programme to record the match, but my sensor board "BEZMA" brings new forms and formats in BG-world in case we start to use them in the tournaments. It'll be difficult to make the same with your program. Anyway it'll be interesting to know what do you mean under "you...will see that it works well and will take this game to a new level"?
