I'll hit as I feel that the latent danger from extra checkers on the bar isn't as much as the danger of not hitting and getting stuck with odd numbersand having all their checkers enter.

Additionally, if we are hit early in our bearoff, we might be able to enter and escape before they can enter the rest of their checkers and set up good defensive control.
