As I mentioned in my Ohio summary, since the tournament is relatively small the need for clocks isn't as great. Things will often go off without a hitch. To me though there is still not one good reason not to have them. They clean up the mechanics immensely and assure that things will run more smoothly. They are also much less frustrating to a player like myself. Nothing I hate more than playing an unclocked match and watching my dink of an opponent spend way too much time on plays or decisions that we all know what he will ultimately choose. He does this because there is no penalty. If we're playing a clocked match I can sit at ease and don't care how much of his time he wastes on stuff like this.

As for Vegas, the Super Jackpot I know was clocks preferred. I don't know about the main though? I didn't stay in it long enough to find out.
