On occasion the slavish adherence to ROT "dont strip the mid point" can trip one up. Knowledge that square the spares to value point making is the answer here. Any roll odds man will see the value of this at a glance. Not playing from the 9 point only two extra rolls hit. Though not a desirable circumstance its worth noting the value of an advance anchor in exchange for these escaping rolls maybe. There are 4 rolls that hit the 9 point thats 11% a risk worth taking. Playing 13/8 produces 41 chances of making a point. Playing 9/4 only produces 29.The numbers say it all, a simple problem for the roll odds man.Things could be looking up.
