I would think it's far from hopeless. Isn't it a somewhat poorly timed 24-22 backgame? That looks like it could be salvaged to a better timed one? I'd think blue could win about 35% of the time from here. Of course, I assume his potential for gammon loss is probably in the high 20's percentage wise, but that's not the question here.
