Very generous. I think a .7 for intermediate is more like it. You are correct 50 matches is a lot to go down. I was confusing "experience points" with matches.

But that is sorta what larsen-silliman is good for. Once people go up.. there should be a larson-silliman drop down point..

I do think however that the problem only resides in about 5% of the field. Allowing people to go down is a separate hurdle.. the problem now are a few really good people that dont play up. The goal is to get more people to play intermediate.

I know that some standard intermediates chuckle when top intermediate want to give them lots of tips...

"If you are all that.. why don't you play open."

The sandbagging intermediates know they are sandbagging.. they also know that it is better equity for them to stay in intermediate.

They know they can compete very well against most of the open field.
