Not all the players you see with 3 current losses will receive a payout. I don't know exactly when the music stops for all players, but 4 losses and you are out of the $ and last person with 2 or fewer losses is the winner. I don't think everyone with fewer than 4 losses continues to play until the winner is determined, so there MAY be more than just winner + n-way tie for 2nd.
