Kaitlyn and Robin were amazing this weekend. I knew Robin was the side events Queen before the tournament stated but she was far better than advertised! The past three years we had 16, 32, and 16 participants in the Blitz. This year we had 68. I never sold more than 64 spots in the 1-point Quicky but this year we sold 128 ($750 added USBGF money helped as did nixing the Blitz playoff) but the #1 reason these events were filled was Robin's hard work. Kudo's to her.

And yes, Kaitlyn has been on staff for 6 years now. She was a 16-year old kid when she first started working for me at the Chicago Open. She was quiet and very introverted. Not exactly what we what from a person on staff at a backgammon tournament. But, through the years she has grown by leaps and bounds. She has a great self confidence now. She takes initiative. She gets things done. Flatly she kicked ass all weekend. I cannot tell you how proud I am of this young lady.

Chuck thank you for all the kind words and as stated in a previous post I have headed David's words and I hired another full time staff member for 2017 and beyond.
